Cuban Virtuoso Juan Mercadal was probably the first Classical Guitar professor to introduce the method of Julio Sagreras in USA. Raymond Lohengrin studied the technique and interpretation of the Sagreras studies with Mr. Mercadal. An effort has been made to present these studies with priority in musicality no matter how simple the piece may be. There has been emphasis in respecting the rhythms and general notation. For each piece, a realistic tempo (or speed)has been chosen so that with practice it would be possible for the student to play the pieces as performed in this recording.
NOTE:
Also included the listener will also find very important and required material to follow in his or her study of the guitar.

These include Edudes by Mateo Carcassi, Leo Brouwer, Antonio Lauro, Eduardo Martin and Domenico Scarlatti.
